Raw Fusion

Cleveland Davis was born September 14th, this Virgo stays true to the nature of his horoscope in that he strives for perfection in his profession always. Cleveland is better known by his stage name Raw Fusion. Though he describes himself as very humble, once he is focused, nothing can get in his way. DJ Raw Fusion grew up in St. Augustine, he lived so close to the university grounds he describes it as his play ground. Growing up he always had a passion for dancing and playing music.

Raw Fusion began his career playing at UWI parties and Infinity an on campus club around eight years ago. Since then he has skyrocketed to the top as one of the nation’s top DJs playing the 6-9pm shift from Monday to Thursday and 1pm-4pm on Friday at 96.1 WEFM. He also plays at local nightclubs Zen and Sting and has played at the National Stadium for world cup qualifier games. During the carnival season patrons in the Island People Mas camp has the pleasure of chipping to Raw Fusion’s spinning.

This Dj hasn’t limited himself to playing within the shores of Trinidad but his talent has taken him abroad to places like New York, Grenada and St. Vincent to name a few.

Raw fusion has a reputation for being very fast on the turntables. He has upheld his standard as a DJ on main stream radio not straying from his unique style and execution of hip hop and R&B his favorite genre of music. He has name New York DJ Funkmaster Flex as his main influence and he said he is always trying to match his skills with that of Funkmaster Flex.

Currently Raw Fusion has completed courses in Audio production and wishes to advance in music and film production. He aspires to be a certified music producer and also he wants to have a future in film production. Not only does this guy play at parties, he plans them as well, Raw Fusion loves event management and has a few events under his belt, his events included Freedom and One more wine which is a Carnival costume event held in the summer time. His dream is to one day work with the top artists in the world.

When he is not using his talented hands on the turntables, he is using them in the kitchen. That’s right Raw Fusion loves to cook his own foods, he loves eating it as well, his favorites are Chicken Alfredo and Roast Chicken. To wash down all that chicken he sips on his favorite drink--Redbull and Henny.

 Raw Fusion has come a long way in his career but he often reminisces on his past and remembers two main events which were special to him, the first being attending a Water Colours & AC show and the second is being able to get on a stage and play that one big song that would send a crowd completely crazy and then looking back on it and being able to say that he did that.

He admits to getting nervous before he plays but he gets over his nerves by going into the crowd and getting hyped by the patrons. This guy is a go getter, who never gives up; he uses his past as his motivation so that he shall never fail in the future
