Asfa

Asfa is the older of the Lion Twins, He grew up in St James where he enjoyed playing football, hanging out with friends and listening to music. Music was a big part of his life because his father Lion King was a DJ and his profession attracted the interest of his twin sons Asfa and Yacob.

With his father being his influence and mentor, The Lion Twins began their career in 2003 when they played at the Twelve Tribes of Israel youth concert, Asfa was 12 years old at the time.  

Asfa has had the pleasure of playing alongside some of Reggae’s greatest artists such as Bunny Wailer, Freddie McGregor, Gregory Issacs, he also performed on the same stage with some of Dancehall’s pioneers including Bounty Killer, Beenie Man and Vybz Kartel.

Asfa aspires to improve his skill and become one of the best in his profession. He also wants to enter the business world and become a successful entrepreneur.

When he is not in the WEFM studio, he spends his time attending classes at Roytec, or playing football and chilling with his friends.

God, Family and Friends and his passion and love for music and the industry keeps Asfa motivated.

He is always grateful to his father, Lion King for helping him develop musically and for introducing him to the music industry. He is also grateful for the motivation he received from Reggae veteran Fred Locks.
