The Prime Minister left the country today bound for St. Lucia to attend the 33rd CARICOM heads of government conference.

The conference, which is set to begin tomorrow and continue until Friday, will address the Caribbean Court of Justice, the Caribbean Single Market and Economy and the restructuring of the CARICOM Secretariat.

The CARICOM heads will also address the implications for the region of on-going Geopolitical and Global Economic Developments. The issue emerged out of discussions during the 11th Summit of the Americas, which was held in Colombia in April.
