Health minister Fuad Khan says renovation work is on the cards for the central block of the Port of Spain General hospital.
Khan toured the facilities this morning, along with a team from the NorthWest RHA.
He said the tour was planned in response to several complaints about the structural integrity of the Central Block.
The Health Minister said there is need for a structural assessment before any work is carried out.
In the meantime, he said a mobile hospital will be acquired to house patients for when the repairs begin.
