Kerwin DuBois said when he publicly made peace with Kes Diefenthaller on Tuesday evening, it was only meant to appease public sentiments and rumors that had been circulating about bad blood between them.
The singer/ songwriter told WEFM that a lot of people got the impression that he and Kes had a huge falling out and they wanted to show people there was no beef between them, really.
But where there’s smoke there’s fire and when WEFM pushed a bit, Kerwin eventually admitted there was a little tension between him and Kes. But he defined it as “something created by distance and lack of communication which led to assumptions and funny thoughts.”
And he said, “We just crushed that old talk on Tuesday night.
Kerwin after all gave Kes his biggest hit to date with Wotless, with which he took the 2011 Groovy monarch crown.
And he quashed rumors that Kes did not give him a portion of the prize money, saying “I was given what was due to me’ adding there was no problem at all.
