Kasey Phillips is the man who gave Erphaan Alves the break as a songwriter.
Alves said he had been working with the Precision Productions team for quite some time when Casey mentioned that he was looking for songwriters and he jumped at the opportunity.
He then started shopping songs in the middle of 2011 to Machel, Kes, Shal, Super JKigga TC , Patrice Roberts and Devon Mathews among others.
Erphaan is in the Groovy Soca monarch finals with his own composition ’In your eyes.”
