Chucky’s Chutney Bacchanal

         It’s a straight case of chutney bacchanal!

          Chucky claimed Ravi B threatened legal action against him for his song’ “Duck”, which is a comical take on the incident in the  2011 Chutney Soca Monarch  finals that  landed Ravi B  in court.

    Never mind that  Chucky has made it to the finals of the Young Kings competition and will be looking to run away with the crown thanks to “Duck,”   in which he   chants over a classic chutney beat “Duck, Ravi ‘eh’ win, he go start pelting.”

     Ravi B is definitely not a fan of the song, and described it as distasteful. He added that he was unhappy with the lyrics of the song and wanted everyone to move on.

      Chucky has made it clear that there was no malicious intention behind the song noting the art form was derived from social commentary and freedom of expression.

     He even defended Ravi in the second verse singing “We forgive you, our chutney son. But let this make you a better man”.

         Duck was written by Mr.Ford who previously wrote hits like Blackie’s “Confessions” and “If I Hook.”
